It Bites!

I've chosen this as my first photo of the week because this picture is the one on my homepage. I've chosen it to represent my work on my first website. Comparing it to the version on the homepage, you will see that Martyn (who helped me build my site) has cropped it to suit the shape of the page. What do you think of my choice of photo and the cropping?

Hi there. As Chris says, I cropped the image to suit the shape of the web page. I'm fairly relaxed about these things. I like the wet street in Chris's original, and people familiar with the architecture of Queensgate will be interested to see it covered in scaffolding and advertising hoardings, but I believe my narrower crop still retains the essence of the original, with Chris's humour and timing intact. What do others think?

Crop, crop, crop, reduce, reduce, reduce!

I have no clue what the site might look without cropping and would not have known if you hadn't told me.
Don't worry about those things. Or give us the complete frame before cropping to judge.
Other than that, nice picture.

Thanks for that. I should have made it a bit more clear. The photo on this page, above, is the uncropped version. The way Chris saw and shot it.

The cropped version is on the homepage of this site. It's cropped at the top and the bottom.

Apologies for the confusion.
