Humour is crucial to me in my street photography in this often sad old world of ours. If I can make you smile when you look at some of my images then I am happy. It does go to show there is a lot of funny business going on in the streets. We just have to find it.  Portobello Road 2011.

I can recommend looking for an eye grabbing billboard, being ready and waiting. My patience was rewarded in Nottingham August 2011.  I was wandering around Borough Market in London and spotted this great character. On asking his name he replied Lord Lucan! Which does his Lordship look best in, colour or black and white?   "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players, They have their exits and their entrances." William Shakespeare 1599. A favourite technique of mine is to choose a stage and wait for actors to walk on. Sometimes after a long wait your patience will be rewarded.   |
