Thank you and good question Martyn. I think I like the juxtaposition of eyes, the quizzical and ambiguous look that provokes a response. Is it looks that can kill, curiosity or just not bothered really about this mad man trying to take a picture. Not comparing but it just reminded me of the look on the face of a waitress in an American diner taken by Martin Parr. We are not quite sure what emotion we are seeing and think we know but maybe we have got it wrong.

I really like this photo. The way the sunglasses were laid out with care on the crushed velvet fabric contrast with her expression. She definitely has a story to tell. Leave a Reply. |
